The FT has historically not allowed subscriptions in app. With the mobile app being its largest channel, the revenue lost and readers missing out meant enabling users to pay was needed. This piece of work was technical and had to account for many subscription types and legacy access levels

The Newsletters within the FT are a large driver for subscription growth and engagement. For the longest time the mobile app allow readers to have a way of both accessing or signing up for them, the app being the largest channel for the business meant that a lot of readers were missing out, so we designed a new feature for them to do so.

ClearScore within it’s early days were still new to the Open Banking value proposition, this first journey allowed users to connect their information and get offered a few new offers

DATA DICTIONARY
ClearScore has always had a deep relationship with data. Now even having its own spin off company. In the early days managing data insights, provider pipelines, backend services and open banking information meant an internal tool was needed to navigate it’s complexity, hence a data dictionary was designed.
